Crime Doesn’t Pay — But Crime Prevention “Can”

We have all heard the old saying, “Crime doesn’t pay!” However, stories of drug raids and arms deals in the news tell us a different story. But even in the world of crime “prevention” there lies a multi-billion dollar industry in everything from alarms to cameras to security patrols to executive security (i.e. bodyguards). And these do not even touch the areas of technology related to cyber security, identity theft, and more. It all adds up quickly.

But there is yet another arena of crime prevention
, one that also offers financial gain — “honorable” financial gain — and that is in the area of crime prevention education. But this requires actual human beings to do something that is not comfortable for everyone — public speaking.

Trouble Spotters was founded
to help further both this message and means of everyday people in their local communities to financially benefit from this often overlooked medium of crime prevention. Every day and every week all over this country there are groups of people meeting — meeting for breakfasts, meeting for lunches, and meeting in the evenings. Some are social gatherings, others are professional gatherings. But many if not most of these are actively looking for interesting speakers with interesting (and relevant) topics. Given the multi-billion dollar industry that is personal safety and protection, the relevance of this topic is without question. However, no one wishes to sit through an extended sales presentation nor “infomercial”. They want what they came for and/or in other cases what they “paid” for, that being, education that can lead to the enhanced safety of themselves, their families, and their loved ones. And yes, many are willing to pay for this process.

Still others see
such an opportunity as a means of marketing their primary business (and there are certainly industries that do compliment this one) not so much for financial gain from the seminars themselves. But again, their primary business can only offer most groups a presentation on their product or service, not education. Such professionals will utilize this message to reach out to others if for no other reason than to provide a true service to their community. For them, it is solely about public relations and community service. We welcome such prospective presenters as well.

There is the initial license fee
as well as 2-3 day training (days depend on track chosen), but resources are made available by way of the Trouble Spotters website as well as growing network of other instructors blazing trails in professions, organizations, and associations that might be out of your current realm of thought. Product is also provided to the licensee allowing him/her to recoup their entire license fee in short order once they begin presenting.

Whether interested in presenting programs for profit
, or for public relations, we welcome your inquiry. “Who” would be the usual suspects for either of these approaches are listed on our “Become An Instructor” page of the Trouble Spotters website. For more information, the contact page would be a fitting start.

Maybe you
will soon begin teaching your community how to “spot trouble before trouble spots you”.
